Shuttle service

Group shuttle service will be arranged on arrival (Sunday, September 6th) and departure day (Friday, September 11th for those not joining the field trip and Sunday, September 13th for the field trip participants, respectively) between NCL airport and Durham Castle. The journey takes approximately 0.5 - 1 hours, depending on traffic.

Participants arriving or leaving at other days will need to get to Durham/to NCL by public transportation. To reach Durham from Newcastle Airport, take the Metro  service direct to Newcastle Central Train Station (approx 25 minutes), followed by a direct train to Durham (approx 15 minutes). To reach Newcastle Airport from Durham, take the direct train to Newcastle Central Train Station (approx 15 minutes), followed by the Metro service direct to Newcastle Airport (approx 25 minutes).
