Kick-off Meeting

For the help in logistics and input the VERTIGO Organisation team would like to thank Diego Perugini from Università degli Studi di Perugia (UNIPG), Italy.

The VERTIGO KickOff-Meeting will take place in Perugia (Italy) from 24 through 26 February 2014. Venue: Il Palazzo dei Priori, beautifully located in the old town centre of Perugia. All participants will be accommodated at the Hotel Fortuna, less than three minutes walk away from our venue. We have reserved several rooms so please don't book the rooms on your own but register with us centrally. (Registration closed)

How to get to Perugia:

  • Flights to Perugia airport: Unfortunately, this very conveniently close airport has drastically reduced the amount of arriving/departing flights since we planned to hold the Kick Off-Meeting in Perugia. The only realistic connection to Perugia would be from London Stansted.
  • Flights to Florence airport: From Florence airport, take the bus to the train station and then continue to Perugia by train.
  • Flights to Rome (Fiumicino) airport: Italy's capital has a lot of direct flights to many cities in Europe. From FCO airport to Perugia (stop "Piazza Italia" or "Piazza Partigiani"), you can go by train or by bus. There are several direct bus connections by the company SULGA. Tickets can be bought directly in the bus. The return ticket costs 36 € and has to be paid cash.

The following departure times have been confirmed:

Sunday          23 February 2014: FCO -> Perugia: 12.30 and 16.30

Monday         24 February 2014: FCO -> Perugia: 9.00, 12.30, 14.30 and 17.00 (The bus at 14.30 will bring you to Perugia in time for the icebreaker.)

Wednesday   26 February 2014: Perugia -> FCO: 8.00, 9.00 and 14.30 (planned arrival FCO at 18.00)
